Dhak Bahiri -- A thrilling experience |

‘Dhak’ is the name of a rocky mountain in the Sahyadri range and ‘Bahiri’ is a cave which houses the temple dedicated to Lord ‘Bairoba’ and so the place is named Dhak Bahiri.![]() For many this might be just another hamlet amidst the Sahyadri range. So it is obviously a place of heavenly bliss with lush greenery and panoramic mountainous terrain. But what makes this just another rocky place so enchanting is its seemingly hazardous, mighty, steep and One day at office my colleague Hemant suggested that if one is to experience all the thrills and spills of rock climbing and adventure then Dhak Bahiri is the place to be in. He had been to the place twice before and was planning to go again. I pondered over his words and browsed the net for all sorts of information. I was at once enthusiastic about the idea. Kamlesh, another colleague of mine, and Hemant’s old pals, Milind and Prashant also agreed to come along with us.
